The filming of the movie “Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho” has been completed. The shooting concluded after filming the song “Aankhai Rasilo.” The song’s filming began on Sunday at Voice of Nepal’s studio and Balaju Lab, finishing this morning.
The song “Aankhai Rasilo” features lyrics and music by Deepak Sharma, sung by Asmita Adhikari and Sabin Subedi, and choreographed by Kabiraj Gahatraj. The song includes main actors Roshan Shrestha and Ayusha Samal, along with Khushi Karki, Narayan Pradhan, and top ten DID dancer Naresh Bir Singh.
Some parts of the movie were also shot in the USA. “Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho” was filmed in Jhapa, Ilam, and various locations in India like Sikkim, Darjeeling, Jaigaon, and West Bengal. The film features actors from India, Malaysia, Poland, Austria, Belgium, Tunisia, Germany, and South Africa.
Directed by literary figure Mitra Pradhan (Nar) in the USA, the movie is produced by Gyan Bahadur Pradhan (Roshan). The cast includes Roshan Shrestha, Wilson Bikram Rai, Buddhi Tamang ‘Hait’, Vijay Baral, Ayusha Samal, Narayan Khati, Bhupendra Lingden “Mantri”, Subas Bhandari, Vijay Subba, Vijita Bardewa, and Debaraj Rajbanshi. Actress Ayusha Samal was the first runner-up in Mero Dance Cup USA.
Presented by Padma Ishwar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., “Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho” highlights issues faced by Nepalis living abroad. It aims to showcase the importance and history of the Nepali language, literature, and art, emphasizing the pride of being Nepali. Written by Shivam Adhikari, the film addresses how Nepalis worldwide are forgetting their art, culture, and traditions, aiming to rekindle interest and pride in the Nepali language.
The film’s story and direction are by Mitra Pradhan (Nar), with music by Deepak Sharma, cinematography by Saurabh Lama, action direction by Dev Maharjan, VFX by Samir Miya.
